Dambusters declassified documentary

Just watched this on you tube, very interesting

They were showing the Dambuster film on TV this evening.
I didn't watch all of it but Guy Gibson's dog was called "Trigger" on every occasion throughout the film.
I am sure the first time I saw it as a 16 year old at the cinema his dog's name, quite correctly, began with an "N"! 
Even the first time I saw it on the telly there was a warning that the dialogue contained words "of the period".
But now the sound track has been carefully dubbed!
Now things have changed even during my lifetime, like the cutouts included in every jar of Robersons jam and that popular TV show "The Black & White minstrels"!  

When they can even edit old film to remove certain words, you have to wonder what other things have been surreptitiously added to alter your thoughts or perceptions on what went on - somewhere.
We know certain ethnic groups are insisting that the goings on at Auschwitz etc never happened, even though there is film evidence.
Or is there? Did Hollywood 'diddle' with that, as well?
