As long as you don't do any of these... your landing is a good one... :woohoo: (ignore the first crash.... you would be doing terrible if that was your attempt to land... anything after the first one i think is a crash landing)

Tom

For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return.

lol cheers Tom. Lot of them seem to lose their tyres as they land, that normal?

No not really, not unless you own a piper cub, Sopwith pup or Tigermoth :D To heavier landing for the airplane.... should be smoother....

this video will explain how to do it....

Don't just try flying off videos though... that'll only end badly... like it did for me :D aha I joined a club soon after ;)

Its not a sticky but we do have a decent search feature.

I like watching the experts demonstrating scale crashing!

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

My pleasure..... aha ;) Sarah don't let it put you off... it did me for a while but I don't understand why because models are easy to fix and you won't need to fix them if you do all the right flight checks and can fly... so no need to worry :D

When you crash a model, it only hurts your bank account (unless you hit yourself with it!)

True, but don't forget the belt off the Mrs, once she finds out how much you've spent repairing/replacing it

Sarah, don't be put off. Crashes in the early stages are mostly inevitable, maybe less so with instruction, but a cheap, proven, and easily repaired first model should help build your confidence. If you're like me, you WILL get a real kick out of your successes, making the downers easier to shrug off. I often still do a little victory dance when I manage a good landing with something like my PZ Spitfire on long grass

I love these Toob crash vids, but those comments deriding the pilots abilities (of alleged lack of) often make me laugh. Those people either never fly, hence never crash, or they are super human with the perfect model

Sorry all, maybe I shouldn't of posted those videos.... Sarah please don't let it put you off.... just posted them as a bit of a laugh. I agree with you Martin about the comments... they are so funny, I wonder how many models they have crashed and blamed it on the aircraft....
