That nipple could well be for injecting smoke oil, as I have never come across a petrol engine silencer with a nipple already fitted, certainly not for pressurising the tank

Tell us the other opinions, as I have been known to be wrong, about as many times as I have been right, and we all learn

How can you pressurise a tank with an open vent?.Sounds odd to me

Anything will fly given enough power

It certainly doesnt read right, a few punctuation marks make part of it read correctly, but not all

Rewrite the post Stephen and I will delete the original

I know what he means (I think!)
One pipe to the carb or pump.
One pipe to the exhaust - can be the pressure line or the overflow.
One pipe for the tank fill, plugged afterwards.

[badass]

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

You are right Eric overflow is open, filler is plugged off and the feed go's to the pump
And if I were you Stephen when you finish flying for the day plug the overflow, or it will stink you car out with petrol, that is the only thing with petrol engines you have to drive with the windows open,
