Dean M wrote: You sound just like me! I sometimes get the right amount of rudder on take other times it is I've watching a rally car sliding about
The worst for me is on landing, last week landing in crosswind I was sort of crabbing in on the approach then as I was about to touch down I gave a bit of rudder to point straight down the runway except I applied the rudder in the wrong direction oops
I wonder if a 3ch might be worth me getting used to rudder operation,

That's only practice! Like me you're still having to think which way to apply the correction. I'm told there'll come a time when your fingers just do it. I'll probably die before that happens! :(

Do it now, you may never get another chance

I think I had the same set up as now with model cars in that I steered with the right stick, cant remember now but i think thats the way there set up..You are right pol often my models take off with the wing nearly touching but I know which way there going and immediately react as they lift.Your right Dean my flying improved dramatically when I acquired an old Super Scorpion 3 channel.I fly 3 channel with rudder where Ailerons normally are and its my natural way of flying.I find them very easy and relaxing.Because they need to have the height lost way out you get use to coming in very low from a long way out..O dont seem to incurr any problems landing.Yes BB I bragged about fingers and thumbs haha maybe I should try taking off laying on my side.

Good day flying my Rocket but had to do some trimming and its become very sensitive and needs flying very gently otherwise it over reacts.Very enjoyable though and still needs adjustments on the under carriage.

If it is just very touchy in pitch (elevators) check the c of g hasn't drifted back a bit, it might be right on the rear limit. If it is ailerons as well, the servo throws have been altered, somehow.

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!
