It is an easy model to build, just needs bringing up to date with measurements.
an electric conversion will be good as well.

depends on if it will be sold as a kit with pre cut parts or artf style.

When I do the kits, I want to bring them bang up to date. I want to re-draw them on CAD, sticking fairly close to the originals but modifying where necessary and from those CAD drawings I'll be able to get laser cut parts made up.
I'm not a huge fan of ARTFs to be honest and one of my reasons for starting this up again was the distinct lack of proper builder's kits on the market. But never say never.

UMMM - Dictionary says -plod
1. Walk doggedly or laboriously; trudge 2. work slowly and steadily. Doesn't say nuffin about blinding speed or multiple concurrent builds!!!:P :P :P

I think not embracing the power of the internet was one of my Father's mistakes, not one I'm planning to repeat. A lot of bricks and mortar businesses rely on internet sales to keep going these days.

It's very easy to get carried away and go off like a rocket when you get an idea in your head.
it's probably easy to be looking at it through rose tinted specs 'cos of my family connection with the business too.
It's very useful to have a 3rd party opinion to throw into the mix.

I'm not expecting to make my millions from this as it's a bit of a niche market, it'll probably only ever be a self financing hobby, but it does seem criminal to leave the flying K's stuck in the back of a cupboard, they should be built and flown.

My game plan is to make the whole range available as plan sets and re-introduce the actual kits one at a time.
I'm already geared up for the plan printing (just got to get the plans scanned and cleaned up), it's the kit manufacture that will cost which is why it'll take a bit longer.
I really appreciate the support that you guys have already shown me and although I'm a newbie here, I really feel like I'm among friends.
It's a nice place and I'm sticking around.

Thank you.

Lets get one thing straight here KK. You say " I really feel like Im among friends". Please stop FEELING as you are among friends, and as one of our "friends" you will be helped and supported, as all the members are on this forum, be they newbies or well established members.

You also say that you are sticking around . I for one greet this as good news, as it shows us that we are running the forum correctly and as the members want it run. You are already a valued member on here, and I think I speak for all the other members.

One thing you have to remember, Rich, is - in this business, to make a small fortune at it, you have to start with a big one! :P
I think like you re ARTF, too, although I have a couple. I'd rather build from a plan, that way I can incorporate my own ideas, and pick my own materials. I've had too many kits, in the past, where one fuz side is crumbly balsa, while the other is pre-cut from a teak plank, and things like this.
As you may have noticed, Ripmax has revived the Bullet, and the Gangster, and a few other companies are re-releasing old favourites, too, so you aren't on your own!

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

Well said Garry. Anyone who joins this forum will be treated as a friend providing they don't abuse the hospitality & deliberately cause offense to anyone.
Accidentally offending someone is easily put right with a quick apology.
For those who haven't heard about this in another thread, ...... I've just been victim of an example of how friendly this forum can be.
I was expecting to borrow a Spektrum DX6i off Garry, but when I turned up at the field he said he wasn't going to lend it to me :( .... then he pulled out a box & handed me a brand new one. :woohoo:
Eric & Garry had pooled their pennies & bought it for me .... How's that for friendship? :cheer:

I just own the forum .... you guys make it great thanks.

We are drifting a bit here lads, this is supposed to be Tony's build thread so we'd better get it back on track.
