To be added to the list of damage from the revolver crash is a Spectrum 8 channel receiver and satellite both are knackard
Took the cap 232 for its maiden flight this morning and the Moki would not keep running after i took the glow stick thingy off, came home checked everything it was ok, late this afternoon i put a four stroke plug in it ,an OS F plug and it works now. ?? but will not run on a OS 8 glow plug
so ill try again in the morning.

I think its got to be a mixture problem, just been sat having a coffee and it just clicked.
to rich a mixture and it is putting the glow out, sooo its the slow running screw i have to adjust !!!!
i think.
And the needle valve
AND GARRY dont say we do not get this problem with leccys, i took off this morning with my P. A. Kantan with a leccy motor in it, it was climbing out when it went bang and the motor pulled clean out of the airframe did not know at the time what had happened but there were a lot of bits floating down, managed to land it. we went to see what had happend and no front end on the plane, destroyed the motor mount and the cowl a little damage to the motor but i can fix that.
Im going back to trains i think.  :P :P :P

The Cap 232 has it's maiden flight in the morning, must say i am looking forward to it, took a lot of setting up ( for me not being very computer minded) with the JR transmiter but got there in the end, i think
The engine also took a lot of getting right, very critical with the settings but its running sweet now
Fingers crossed :P :P

Well it did not fly, went to the field and was doing a final ajustment to the controls and one of the metal clips (is it a clevise ) it is the only down side to the kit, that connect the rod to the control horn snapped in two, had my doubts about them when i fitted them seemed to bend very easily.so came home to change them all,
Know what, cannot find any 3mm connectors :(

You will be tied in knots Garry if you keep crossing everything, because it did not fly again.
The Moki would not keep running again, all the experts form the club were at it for two hours and still they could not get it to run, as soon as we took the glow stick thingy off it stopped :S:S
Think ill change this

For this

on 12s it is equal to 100cc so on 6s maybe 40cc two 6s 5000 would give me 10,000 should be good for 10minutes +, Either Eric or Klippy will no dout disagree
Mind i got it running this afternoon so ill go again in the morning, no pics ill be on my own.

Try a different plug in the Moki, BB. It could be a dud one where the fire goes out when you take the volts off.
Either that, or you are running it WAY too rich, and it is drowning the plug.
Try turning the model upside down, so the engine has the cylinder up, and see what happens.

OT, we can't call Balsaboy Woodie, either, that would cause even more confusion!

That's gotta be a duff plug that ... or as Eric says, too rich.
Does it just pack up on idle or will it still stop when you take the glow lead off even if it's doing a fair RPM?
If it only stops on idle, you could try a plug with an idle bar.

It stops on any throttle opening, we tried loads of different plugs,we turned it every which way but loose, i had it running at home Friday without the cowl on, the tank is spot on centre of the valve close as i can get to the engine, all the pipes are good, i think it has to be the mixture,
That i think is why the guy sold it ( on the other forum ) its the first time i have bought second hand and it is the last time, had i known better at the time i would have gone for petrol, i think i will buy a petrol engine for it anyway and stick the moki in the bring and buy at the nats.
I will see what happens tomorrow when i try again, dont like to think something is going to get the better of me, i want to get it running ok then get rid of it.

Hang on a sec' .... have you tried a different fuel? .... the laws of physics don't go wrong, if you have a fuel / air mixture under compression & you stick a glow plug or a spark there .... IT WILL GO BANG!
This stinks of some really basic thing being overlooked.... the engine design works .... they've sold thousands .... they work on the suggested glow plug .... they run on the suggested fuel ... Where do you think the fault may be ?..... I don't mean that disrespectfully.

I had 6 flights this morning with the 232, the first one the maiden i kept it fairly high had the give it a couple of clicks up trim and one click right aileron took of on half throttle flew nice and steady the engine never cut out, when i landed after about 5 minutes i found out why!! the glow stick was still connected :silly: :(
The next flight was good engine ok had to add 25% more rudder it was not very effective, did a few landings , loops, rolls but would not hold knife edge.
Thired flight after about 5/7 minutes the engine cut, dead stick landing, seemed very hot so i opened the needle valve a tweek
Fourth flight everything ok no engine cut, increesed the rudder another 25% but still struggles to hold knife edge
Fifth flight two minutes in the flight the engine cut , dead stick landing again, seems very hot i can actuly smell the heat.
sixth flight opened the needle valve even more and again after a couple of minute the engine cut, so i packed up and came home

That sounds more like an intermittent fuel blockage. Is it a pumped or a suction carb engine? Check the carb jet hasn't got a hair or a tiny crescent of silicon tube in it by taking the needle right out. (Count how many turns!), putting a spare bit of fuel line on the nipple, and having a good blow down it, with the throttle wide open.
If it's a pumped engine, it might be a faulty diaphragm, or a bit of muck.
Don't take that to bits unless you know how!!! Get a genuine expert to do that, or it may never run again!
Is the air inlet to the tank clear? It might be that the engine is sucking fuel out faster than the tank can vent air in.

I will go again in the morning, going to try another prop i think maybe the 18x 8 is to heavy, going to try a 18x6 wood, the vent is ok plenty of air getting through it.
The fuel is good 18% oil, 1% more than in the manual, i bought another lot today of a different sort so will try that also.
At least im making progess will keep chipping away,, i dont think there is a blockage but will check that again
With the heavier weight it is taking some getting used to, at the moment not as good as the Revolver, time will tell they do a 46 size one also but i did like the 90 size i miss not flying that
