Hi Don,
Yes saw this and the guy that did the excellent work, Windy, contacted me through this forum AND most generously shared the details of his design. Just love the friendly helpful people in this hobby. You should look up Windy's other video's. He's built a superb contra rotating drive unit.
I'm currently unsupervised. I know it freaks me out as well, but the possibilities are endless!!

I was going to use 2mm bolts and nuts but decided this was a bit crude so made some 2mm dia brass pins with a split pin to secure them. There will be a crinkle washer between the split pin and hinge.
There will be a cover plate (made from litho plate and small screws) over each hinge point so the big gap you see will be closed off.
Now it all works just need to strip it all down and tidy it up. Next job is to add the secondary spars for the aileron trim tabs, sheet each aileron and cut the trim tabs out.

Sweet! So exciting seeing get to this stage. Will you make the trim tabs "functional"?Ralpharr2001 wrote: Have had some productive time on the Gannet. Made the hinges and RDS wiper boxes for the ailerons and fitted them. So ailerons are now hinged and ready for the RDS system to be installed.

The drawing file I sent you is in solidworks format so will need solidworks or solidworks drawing reader to view it. It does take a while to open.
