Done a few bits and pieces nothing much, got the cowl mould polished and three coats of mould release on it again :(
The original coats tuned to a orange peel effect

Cut the glass cloth ready for laying the cowl tomorrow

Laid up the cowl this morning, took 240ml of resin to lay the three layers of cloth, I cut for four layers but will see how strong it comes out, and it took just over two hours to do it, not easy working inside the cowl
Thinking on doing a FG jet just to see if I can

Been a cowl of a day today, spent all my modelling time today working on the cowl
Came out of the mould ok, quite pleased with the result

Cleaned it up

And decided to fit it

Made up some better brackets than i used on the old one

Did it sort of , think it will be ok once its rubbed down and painted

That's if I can get the cowl off , over the exhausts as the ring around the prop driver limits the movement
If I could get this lot over to you free of charge Tony you could have it, 40 sheets of 3mm and 6mm aero Depron
Do like the hanger, so much room, a fully assembled Hunter, been checking it over for flying in the morning

Some of the gear needed to fly one jet

Could not get the cowl off the airframe now that the frame at the front is on, so I have to remove the prop shaft to get it off
So I made a tool to make it easy and quick to whip the shaft off

Rubbed the cowl down and gave it a coat of primer inside and out

Pleased with the outcome

Thought I would do a bit more on this today, so I got a lid off the old water cylinder casing to make the bracket for the mudguard

Cut the bracket out

And folded it up

Trial fit

Cut it to shape and bolted the bracket to the guard

Weighed the fuselage today as I was weighing the Hunter

In it's present state it is 4.2 Kg
[attachment:1]DSC_0020.JPG[/attachment ]
Decided the mudguard did not look right so started again

With a couple of layers on the plug

Glad to see you back on this one Tony. I like Silver soldering, it's always easy to get a neat joint. I must say I prefer the non fluxed rods and use a separate flux powder.

Do it now, you may never get another chance

Got all the rigging wires fitted now, been a fiddly job with all the small fork ends to silver solder on each end of the wires
Four separate little parts to each fork end

connected the ailerons together with steel wire and ends soldered on, each pair operated by one servo as per scale

Was going to make fibre glass covers between tail plane and fin,

But then I changed my mind ill do it with balsa block hollow, think it will be sronger
