need to do the l/e sheeting on the underside of the first wing tomorrow and then start the sheeting on wing two.

42" for each wing panel. so about 93" wingspan.

yes not a small indoor model.

i wish to post "that i am sick of blinking cap strips" just finishing off the underside of the last wing.
then i can shape the leading edges and move on at last.

maybe i should build a 1/3rd scale quadraplane next, oodles of cap strips to do. :P

The tail trim tab is not on the right side Tony, it's on the left............... So the trim tab on your model is perfectly correct.

Tony
That is a very impressive model.
I appreciate it is only placed together at the moment but in that last picture the fuselage looks terrifyingly weak just behind the wing. ;)

it is at the moment, it wont be once the piano wire bracing goes across the back, top and front.
it should all tie in quite strong then.
thats the next job over the weekend.

anyhoo.
started the flaps.

printed some instruments out for the dash, just need to find th right ones now.

well after lots of faffing about and head scratching, i have given up with the flaps.

got them on and hinged.

cant work out how to fit hidden controls for them, so i think for this model we will have to have external horns and control rods.
just not enough room inside the flap for a hidden horn. :(

Torque rods into the fuz?

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!
