4.5kg is near enough 10lbs.
A force that is equivalent to a significant proportion of the planes weight?
The full size managed with just 'arm' power - a force that would be equivalent to only a tiny proportion of the planes weight.

For my money 4.5kg should be more than ample unless too much is lost due to inefficient linkages and hinges.. :)

there will be very short linkages between servo and surface and robart hinges as well.
saves me having to seriously butcher the tailplanes about to fit standard servo's phew.

Fins have been pinned and glued on, hopefully they are square.

Then spent ages planking the rest of the fuselage sides, not doing the underside until i have all the electrics sorted.

needs a good sand now before i can fit the wings, jig it all up and glue the tailplanes in place.

well i put the leading edges on the tailplanes and sanded them to shape.
then i sat for ages sanding the fuselage smoother.
then i cleared the conservatory a bit and laid the shackleton all out on the floor.
fitted the wings, jigged it all up square and stuck the tailplanes on.
even though it looks wrong, the fins are vertical, cos i set them with a square.
