After a lot of rubbing down and filling managed to get the first coat of primer on. Still a lot more filling and sanding to do. Sorry about the photos, but in bright sunlight the white primer filler reflects the light.

I'm currently unsupervised. I know it freaks me out as well, but the possibilities are endless!!

Looking good.
I was having a 'chuck-out' earlier, and found a drawing and destructions for Tony Nijhuis's electric Vulcan.

No time to cut the grass, too busy building planes!! Choices are build planes or cut grass. Planes win!! :cheer: :cheer:

Finally found time to get the camouflage green on and then a protective coat of satin varnish. Why is it that you find small blemishes every time you inspect paint work? I thought I had got it all nicely prepared. Put the satin varnish on and when inspecting it after spraying I see some small patches of green over spray!!

Soon be ready for the decals. Also did some sanding on the Firefly.

Paul, as noted elsewhere on this site the Lancaster returned from its maiden in a bin bag.:( :(

Do it now, you may never get another chance

Thanks guys.

Paul, as Klippy says the Lanc came home in a bin bag. However, plans are afoot to build another. I wasn't happy with the design so will be doing something different for the next one. That's after I finish the Firefly, so probably another Lanc build over Christmas.
