The Café (There is no Topic)

As my son Mike (Admin) has just said, parental guidance is advised in here.

As most of you will know, I used to be a member & moderator on Model Flying .
I still think they are a brilliant site and I'll recommend them to anybody.

I wanted to keep in touch with a lot of my old friends so I asked my son if it was possible to set up a chat site for us.
Well a few hours later I had this place.

The last Cafe I created turned into the longest running and most viewed thread on the RCM&E forum, thanks to you guys. ... With your help, I hope we can do the same here.

We now have our playground back & I hope you'll all make a few suggestions as to how we can improve it.

I invited an old friend to be part of the admin staff here and he joined in.
Unfortunately his wife then had some serious medical problems and he told me that he may not be able to devote the time this may require.
I did e-mail him with this message .........

I'll see if I can put a smile on your face ........I've had 3 heart attacks and the last time I was in the coronary care unit the nurse was dishing out the dinners.
Going clockwise around the ward, I was in bed number 4.
She asked the man in bed 1 what he wanted for dinner....he chose eggs. A few minutes later he died.
Bed 2 chose eggs and within a few minutes he died.

Bed 3 had the eggs and guess what happened .......

The nurse managed to get around to me and asked me what I wanted ........ I instantly said, " Well I certainly don't want the bloody eggs"

This is a true story & we'll allow mild swearing like that .......ps. We don't serve eggs in the Cafe anymore.

I will email the australian department of whirlwinds and see if hes still awake across the ditch .
Then I Beleive theres an olly out there and a biggles that may look in , Hmmm who else can I rattle the door of .
Theres always the grumpy one but I believe he may be at the hospital inn
Im sure theres a model builder or two out there that will like there planes put on a new site..
Then we will need that electrical engineer for all those brushless ,ecs problems . I know one ,but hes been a bit quiety lately.
Now must sort out that jukebox.

I've got a cold at the moment so I'm just slobbing out on the couch ....... give me a bit of time & I'll get a party going.

QUICK NOTE.. We always expect people to know how to reply to these threads. truth is ,if your a newbie to computers it can be confusing..Unlike the other forum theres no box at the bottom of the page to scribble in.

What we need now are ideas for what different categories and threads we want.
As Eric has already pointed out, we have 3 threads on gliders but none for fixed wing or heli's.
This is all part of the "Building work" that I mentioned.

We've got to be careful how we do this because if it gets too complex, the site will become hard to navigate.

We'll do a section for boats & cars if you wish.

I was just looking at stats and I see there is plenty of lookers out there .
so come on in guys , join up its free , no catches, think up a user name ,and when the times right jump in and add your thoughts or hobbies. RC gas ,scale , glider, car boat motorbike you name it ....

There have been a few technical problems up to now but it's only to be expected when opening up a new site.

Please stick with us and keep trying.....I can see Mike is working on putting the world to rights.
