Another thing some will not have noticed is that you can have a private conversation with another member in "Live Chat".
If the persons name is in the list just click on it...then select "Private Message"
A new tab will open in "Live Chat" and it will be a live conversation between you & that person.....providing they join you of course.

Our Mike's doing a "back up" site so if we lose all the data here we can restore it.

He had to put the other site into maintenance mode and the soft sod put this one in by mistake. :woohoo:   :(

You may all have to re-do your profiles soon if his attempts work....

Well you know the site is under construction so you can expect things like this. :P

Put up with it or I'll play "Bob the Builder" again.

Many years ago I made one of my special pork curries, My missus (Ann) was in bed so I went to wake her up leaving a neighbour downstairs.
When I got downstairs the neighbour had gone & so had all the chunks of pork out of the curry. :(
I chased after & nearly kebabbed the little sod.

Well today I ordered my slow cooker, inspired as I was by The Beard! In the end I went for this one: amzn.to/e3niUK from Amazon as it's 6.5l capacity so should be good for batch cooking and with free delivery it's easier than lugging a box home from Dyas.

I understand one of the benefits of slow cooking is it tenderises tough cuts of meat so you can use cheap cuts. My research led me to this article:

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1059211...t-credit-crunch.html

Checking the prices on the Waitrose website I was surprised to see they haven't increased since the article was written. I think I'll be experimenting with Pig's cheeks, oxtail and lamb shoulder when my slow cooker arrives. At £2.99 a kilo for pig's cheeks you can't go wrong. I had them at a Spanish restaurant years ago and they are the most delicious meat I've ever tasted! A kilo of meat should make a good number of meals B)

Had an interesting E mail during the weekend, from a young lady.I replied to it and received a reply. It appears her poor father ws a direcror of a diamomd mine.she has millions of dollars stashed away she needs to get out of the country,She sent a photo and she is gorgeous, and I mean really beautiful. All I have to do is give her all my bank details and shell arrange to send all her millions to me.when she arrives in this country if i dont fancy this unbelievably beautifull 23 year old I can keep 25% of her millions. My reply to her was "You are far to beautifull for me and just to good to be true" I then went to the bathroom and washed the SUCKER sign off my forehead

I'm curious about something. If you want to log in to RCM&E or modelying.co.uk you go through the same sort of thing that you now get here.
They have as part of a required field...a telephone number????

That means you can't sign up unless you have a telephone.
Well I've heard of age discrimination, sex descriminination, disability discrimination, race discrimination, religious discrimination,...but never wealth discrimination.......what if you can't afford a telephone?

My own rule earlier said we will not knock any other forums.... this is not knocking, it's enquiring.

Mike has done a great job on our system, now I'm going to ask him to do more.

I like our old log in system where all it wants is an e-mail address and you pick a password....why is a telephone number a required field?....very suspicious.

I have asked David to come in and say hello, I obviously can't go to him. I hope he takes up this welcome offer and pops in.
At the end of the day we are all just big boys with big toys...we must play together.
I'll add this to the forum rules later.....no slagging off other forums.

I feel like i'm back in the flower power era, peace man!!!!

I guess that if you can't afford a phone you are unlikely to have an Internet connection as that is much more expensive. I know there are free access point to the Internet like the library but who will got to the library to read and poost on a forum?

Many people, myself included, use a mobile dongle.
This allows us to have internet wherever there is a mobile phone mast.

Telephone or not, why do they need it? ....I'm sick of telesales to the point where I changed my number.....why should I give it out & start all over again?

Telephone No' is not required and the option can easily be removed anyway.

I would be suprised if someone with little money chose to spend it on a mobile dongle rather than some type of phone.
