Took the masking off this morning and

Pleased with it, I shall know what to do next time, if I can remember
And started to put the rigging back together

And spent a lot of time trying to fit these, not to drop them, but my Arthur Ritus fingers did not cope well, so spent a longer time trying to find them on the floor :S

Nice one Tony, so pleased for you things are starting to go right.
If I may be so bold when I am building these day I write a log in a old desk diary I have in the garage, I can always remember the odd things I did in the build that way [badass]
Onwards and upwards now old tater.
John

Now that I am older it seemed nice I have more patience.
Turns out "I don't give a s**t "

Forceps clamps? As used by the medical profession, I use 1 pr angled and 1 pr straight, works for me.
You are going to 'Locktite' them aren't you?

Do it now, you may never get another chance

A blob of CA on them after everything is lined up I thought, as they should never need adjusting again
as this 3mm x 1mm stainless steel wires are not going to stretch ?
And if anything breaks it wont matter as they hold the wings on :S

Very useful gadgets - artery forceps! Ideal for holding tiny items, and for fishing extension leads out of fuselages through little holes! :woohoo:

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

Got some of them clamps but some times you cannot use them, 300mm long very useful

Not been a good day, only started this evening due to trying to keep the house warm, brrrrrr
I set the wings up with all the rigging when I first did it, then labelled it all when I took it apart to paint
Would it go back together, Noooooooo put on the other wing tonight stood back to sight it up, a big twist in the wing, had to remake four of the parts, its all ok now and it should never need to be taken apart
No pics
Couple of bits to do on the wing to tidy it up then should fit the engine, the Power Box sensor switches I got replace have arrived in Cyrus so I HAVE to DRIVE 15 miles to collect them tomorrow from Fedex
Don't know what I paid delivery charge for
It can only get better

Can it

Been fitting the engine tonight, and cowl, she's almost done

I put 3mm cut offs of 4mm fuel tube on the 3mm bolts that hold the cowl on, if you read this Mr Beard don't forget to put pieces of tubing on thing that don't have lock tight on them, or they vibrate off, like my canopy on my Revolver

Thought I was nearly there until I spotted something

And it balances spot on as built, got the two lipo's, receiver and the ignition switch to go yet

And those wheels are 125mm or for Garry 5"
And three of my children came to see me, I have some chews in the hanger :)

The job for today is to strip all the rigging down :S and paint the wing numbers correctly, two huge mistakes that I only spotted last night :( im angry with myself as I knew how they should have been as I painted the last one and looked at the pictures of the real one a thousand times
My only excuse is im nearly as old as Garry ;)
I need to work on something else for a break from it but its close to flying
So ill PLOD on as the main man say's :)
Thanks: Kintosh

It might be the camera angle, but that right upper wing appears to have a load of wash-in on it!
