I think nail varnish remover is acetone.

The problem with using nail varnish remover is that it contains lanolin.

I will use cellulose thinner as i need it to wash brushes and other tools, ill find a auto paint supplier like i used in Cyprus for my paints
Had half an hour on it today and all the cloth peeled of easily, i then scrapped a lot of the goo off, the parcel from East Coast is arriving on Monday so ill see what they have sent me to clean it up
As much fault really as i did notice the label but thought i meant i should should use that particular hardener for that resin, must be my age
Well thats my excuse anyway
Thanks: Eric

The supplier said materials for cleaning,, a little waiting. Don't be tempted to keep door and windows closed to stay warm while doing the cleaning,, just saying.

Have a nice Day, unless I don't like you.

Bummer Tony, just about anything that says 'Lacquer thinners' in the hardware store will work. Glad to see you've got something that's keeping you out of mischief![badass]

Do it now, you may never get another chance

I got some thinners and had a go at it
Got most of it off the plastic pipe, but not all, as for the MDF it is well soaked in the gunk and it will never come out

My parcel arrived from east coast
A load of rags, acetone replacement resin more hardener
So tonight i put a layer of glass on the plug, but the resin is very thick.hard to stir, so i put some thinners in it, still thick though
And the acetone would not touch the gunk on the plug, so i went over it,

You probably needed to warm the epoxy up, first!
Although I only use four minute or 30 minute, I stand the bottle on a hot radiator for half an hour or so, before trying to use it, then it is as runny as water.
DON'T put the hardener in until you are ready to use it, as it 'goes off' faster if it is warm!

I agree with Eric.. to get it workable. I expect your Epoxy has a longer set time than Eric's tho'. Fingers crossed for this latest attempt.

Have a nice Day, unless I don't like you.

Just been in my shed, and the resin has hardened :P been playing with the heater, now i have it running very low and keeping the temp in the shed to a nice 20 deg, so i can leave it on 24 / 7
Ill be ordering my wood from Slec on Friday so next week i can start the wings
Still looking at motors for it

I was going to say that I meant to warm the resin up to use it. Just leaving it to go cold again would just be a waste of fuel, but I now see that you meant you had glassed the plug, and kept THAT warm! :woohoo:
