I started the day with the intention of doing nothing at all but by 2 pm i was bored stiff, so i trimmed the edges of the wing i glassed and gave it a light sanding with the intension of putting a second coat of resin on it, but changed my mind and brushed a thick coat of primer filler on it

Then i glassed the underside of the other wing

i was going to put a second coat of resin on the wing after i lightly sanded it but it looked to have filled the 18oz cloth with the first one so i brushed a coat of primer filler on it, supposed to spray it on but i get a thicker coat with brushing it, i sand most of it off anyway just covers up my crap building quicker

The i glassed the underside of the other wing

Leeds ms have the market in the midlands to north covered, with almost no competition now that Webbies have gone, so they can pretty much charge what they want.

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

I trimmed the fibre glass of the edges of the wing i glassed yesterday and a light sanding the i brushed on a coat of primer filler

Then i glass the top of the first wing

The i sanded down the one i had primed

Then glassed the fuselage wing fairings

Then i glassed the nose and retract plugs for the moulds

They are outside as the polyurethane resin i did them with stinks, they can stay there till morning

In the days when I was involved using glass fibre moulds it was expected that it took a good number of layups using release agents before any mould would release reliably. It was considered that with use the release agent would "permeate" into the mould surface to ensure an easy release.

We originally made our own set of canoe moulds. They were a disaster!
First time we hired, at some expense, a set of well used commercial moulds our own hand laid up canoe shells simply popped out and that was using just a release wax rather than a paint on release agent!

I got it back together but as is nearly always the case not quite as it was and the mould for the nose cone was made from the original nose, anyway iv been working on the nose cone

I have some adjustments to make on it to get it to fit as i want
Iv also fixed the tail plane and fin on the fuselage but now need to have a different hinging for the elevators as i broke one of them
