Soft weights!

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

They are ankle weights, used when scuba diving in a dry-suit. Very useful "soft weights" 500g each.
Started sheeting the wing last night.

Bugger! - now I'm going to have to go out and buy some Lego - luckily already have the SCUBA weights. More expense - mutter, mumble, mutter, grump, grump. Good idea though - why didn't I think of that? :P :P :P

You could try some sand in the plastic bags props come in. The Lego idea I saw on another forum.
Anyone seen "jackboots on whitehall"
???

Hi Tony
Still baffled to know how you can build 4 of these! Got the sheeting done on the centre and have ordered some poly-c and tissue. I would like to try the silk I have with the polyc on some test pieces and use it to cover the fuse. If it doesn't work I can use the tissue.
Do you glue the tissue on before applying the polyc?
Can I use polyc as a sanding sealer?

cos they not built very well. :P

i used a sanding sealer before the poly c.
lay the tissue on dry and then paint the polyc on top and work out from the center.
if you get a crease you can just lift the tissue up and pull straight, then just run the brush over it again.

Sounds easy
Going to try and source some sanding sealer locally.

After a lot of fiddling I've got the flaps done. I thought it would be nice to have them coupled in with some landing lights, but i couldn't get the turnigy rx switch to work! Now to get on with sheeting the bottom of the wing.
Thanks: Ex-Member
