Hmm - doing very well for a "first" build Obby. Top workmanship! With the skills you are displaying you should tackle something really hard! Like a Mosquito or a Lancaster!

Made some clips up for the struts and got them fitted. Doors still need some tweaking. Cheated on the wing fillets. I used a kids play clay. This stuff sets a little spongy, easy to sand and very light. Took a couple of days to dry though. Still needs a final skim with filler.

Thin ply was way too expensive, so i used this 1mm wood strips on the fillets, added some triangle formers on the top.
Doors look fairly flush with the wing. And the landing lights got fitted. Been a busy boy today. Time for a well earned tipple!!!

Locals have been in a panic here with the North Koreans testing their fireworks

Got two coats of sanding sealer on today. Started to tissue the cowl.
What a nightmare! Getting the tissue on without creases is a challenge. Thinking about silk for the rest of the body and the rons. The wing might just get another coat of ss and a couple of poly c.

Well - that cowl hasn't lost it's bottle!

I always had a battle with tish, too, I was always advised to damp it down first, so it 'relaxed', then it was easier to work. Then I discovered solarfilm in the shop!

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!
