Cowls looking---better, with the flaps, to couple 2 together that want to go away from each other, 2 blocks, hole drilled in, piece of 3 speed bike cable, or a cranked piece on piano wire, glue one side in, the other side is not glued

i have 2 sides
no you dont,
yes i do,

what i did was glue a bit of snake inner across the gap between the flaps.
held it in place with some blocks.
then cut it in half through the joint.
ran a bit of cranked piano wire through the snake and glued one end solid.

so one flap is working now, will tackle the other one tomorrow (maybe)

cowl still needs work, but it is getting there.

i am standing by to get my bum kicked, but i have fitted temporary fixed u/c to the sea fury.
the mounts are set up to take electric retracts at a later date and the legs will fit in retract units as well.

made a start on the intakes along the le of the wing.
not fully to scale (i have decided that i cant do scale without plans, as my scratch building skills are not good enough) but its the best i can do at the moment.

Why should you get your ass kicked? fixed legs while you save for retracts later on is a great idea, in the YT kits, hardwood blocks, the same shape and size as the retract blocks are supplied in the kit, cowls looking good, by the way, arnt you glad now i didnt blow sunshine up your ass and just shoot praise at you ???? this will be a fine model, keep the thing, and FLY it

What are you apologizing for, Tony?
I have got as far as putting the prop onto the Decathlon!

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

well between work for swmbo i did get a little bit done.

started constructing the dash.

looked at the seat.

started lining the cockpit.

The dash is not right i know, but i have not worked out how to do black dial on a black surface yet.

have painted the inside in green and once dry i can fit the dash, seat and take a look at the floor.
