I would be more than willing to organize the workers ....................IF there are any LOL ;) [badass]

I'm so clever that sometimes I don't understand a single word of what I'm saying.

Found a new tiny orchid whilst doing the supermarket run this morning.
That's an AA battery next to it to give dimension -

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

Elephant Garlic in bloom.

the small white blooms are normal garlic. The Elephant Garlic flowers can be eaten raw or lightly fried, they're a lot stronger than the Elephant Garlic bulbs, which are, in fact, quite mild. I'll take and post a picture of the bulbs when we pull them from the ground.

Monty Don (sp?) mentioned elephant garlic in a recent episode, and that the bulbs were relatively mild. He didn't say anything about eating the flowers though! Looks like your plants are very healthy. Enjoy.

Re garlic flowers andy, when we take the (child), out, you know who that is :)
We often gather the wild garlic that grows in the woods, well inside from the walkways.
Washed thoroughly its great for extra flavor in lots of dishes, and not as overpowering as a conventional bulb or clove.
Boz :)

Temp. is high 20s here now at the end of our warm winters, so I have just planted six tomato plants.
These were self seeded plants, and a great time to get them up and going with fresh tomato in a couple of months.

Temp here in our miserable summers is nowhere near high twenties! But the tomatoes in the garden are ripening and the early potatoes are ready to lift - except mine got some sort of blight so the top growth has gone and I've no idea what is underground. Ah well, they'll probably grow back next year, they're very resilient - the last ones grew from one discarded in the compost. Welcome to the forum, were not always all arguing :P

Just a reminder of what it was like when we moved in, just cleared enough to get to the door
This is where im working now with the little walls
This where my little shed is

The thing is the area that i have cleared is about 1/8 of the total plot of land, dont think i will clear any more as we dont need it, the dogs have plenty of room to run with their little legs ;)
