Ummm - didn't want to post this on Mike's Birthday - he doesn't deserve to be driven nuts by another problem. I've haven't been on the forum for a coupe of days so signed on last night to catch up. Decided to make a comment on the Radio Queen thread and as soon as I hit reply I got this message:-

Server error
The server for www.modelchat.org.uk/forum/building-thre.../reply/33589?quote=1 took too long to respond. It may be overloaded.

Then tried a couple of other threads - same problem - same message.

Then the whole bloody forum froze on me - all I got was the same message:-

Date: 19/02/13. Time: 2029hrs AESDST. Can't get anywhere at all now - closing down.

Logged on again today:-

Date: 20/02/13 Time:1205Hrs AESDST - no problems so far.

I sometimes get speed issues Mick, I put it down to constrictions in the pipe that goes across the Channel, of course the Poms don't mind, they're on the right side! I usually find that if I go off and do something for an hour, it's Ok when I come back.
Another thing is, I understand the Chinese regularly launch attacks on the DNS server network which can also give strange errors!

Im in work most of today.
I will check the server logs as soon as I can. there are still lots of changes to make.
The one I did the other day has helped the situation but mau not fix it.......

getting a lot of server error messages tonight. Takes three or four goes before a page opens.
I also got a - - Could not instantiate mail function. - - message. Not seen that one before!

Think it is following the nature of planes- up, then down, then up then down least it's not crashed into a tree yet

The forum is playing silly sods now. I clicked on 'latest posts' from the very top toolbar, and the screen jumped to page 2!

Just tried changing my password, to see, if when this happened the last time it was coincidence or not that it happened when admin was forum fiddling, it has made no difference, still locked out from posting in chat, IS THERE ANYONE ELSE? does anyone care about me is anyone doing anything?

This is getting stupid Alan. What browser are you using. If I/E please try something else. Since you Pm ed me I have reported to Mike by PM and Text so the answer to your question is Yes, someone does care about you !!!!! The only person who can sort this is MIKE so PM him with the exact nature of what is happening
