Eric's build blog was created by Eric
Just to keep everyone happy, I will begin again in a dedicated thread.

First up - the one pound glider. (A set of wings and a smashed glass fuz found in a car-boot sale).

Nearly done.
Just needs the wing seats squaring off, and a good dose of sandpapering.

This looks like the typical sort of "fun model" that you'll see on most slopes. :cheer:
It's surprising just how many slopers keep a model in the boot of the car just in case they happen to come across a new slope on their travels.
No engines or fuel to worry about ... & most of the time there are no complaints about gliders.
I need to start doing this myself, I've often been driving somewhere & spotted a potential new site .... Then wished I'd had a model with me. :(

Pol.

I just own the forum .... you guys make it great thanks.

Discus cz artf. Glass fuz, built-up wings. The pinkish bits in the fuz are extra glass and resin I've added, as the fuz is a bit flimsy.

note! The radio gear isn't installed, just plugged together while I centre up the servos!
You can see the wing tips behind the chair, leaning against the wall

I'm trying to fit a boomerang recall device to her, so she comes home without being waited up for until the early hours!

And that's not the building board, it is a displaced pile of boxes of books (and some strays!)

One Discus, waiting to be test crashed.
It weighs in at 3lb 6oz, and has 9oz of lead in the nose to get the balance forward.
Span is 9 feet, or 108 inches or 274 of those foreign centipede things.

The 'one pound' glider is nearly done - (pics later) Just needs the wing bolt trimming a bit, as it's an eighth too long, and has 'bottomed' on the lower cross frame. It needs a fairing over the wing centre, and the control horns fitted, then it's ready to go.
It's also looking as though it will be a one lb glider, too, as it weighs in at 13.5 oz, with four AA batteries in the nose!

That one's a bit dark, but you can see there's not much of a head-on profile!
The servos aren't connected to the surfaces, yet, to save someone commenting!

Started on the Fox assembly, accompanied with lots of head-scratching. It's a good job I have a fair idea of how aeroplanes fit together - here's a sample of the high-quality detailed instructions -

The parenthesis it was good, c slantedly.

⑤ Installation of aileron servo

When installation position of servo is unpalatable, the installation of the servo cover of the next section does not go well. Then when beginning when with the both sides tape of weak type the temporary locking rice, suitable position it becomes settled position of servo writes in to the cover with the pen, locks lastly with the powerful both sides tape it is good, probably will be.

What the heck is - temporary locking rice - solutions written on a five pound note, please!

I'm not making this up, or modifying it! Honest! It's a PDF download!

Adjusting the main wing positioning pin
The alignment of the main wing and the body is formed with the knock pin of
カーボンカンザシ and the aluminum. This time, there is a knock pin hole of the body a times when the knock pin of the main wing is not agreeable. In that case, processing the hole of body side to some long hole, try to be able to insert the main wing smoothly.

This looks like the battery tray, but it's the wrong shape for the fuz!
