Congratulations BB I'm very jealous :)
What was the SR doing there? Did that nearly get flown?

Somebody called me 'pretentious' the other day.

I nearly choked on my latte.

You are not the first, and wont be the last Tony.

A couple of years ago, took 4 models to Langar, unloaded., looked for the wing joining tubes, no prizes for guessingwhere they were.
Never done it since :woohoo: :woohoo:

Started the dredded painting today, put the first coat of grey primer on to show all the faults up, nothing like grey primer for that job.
( I hate grey primer ) the build looks good until it go's on, got it filled and started to rub down with wet and dry

Got to save up for the retracts now, wish i had a lathe i would have a go at making my own,

you would need more than a lathe, :) hunters looking good, and we all forget things, i once laboured to the top of a very tall hill, for a glider crosscountry, took 2 models, but no wing joiners, they where on the bench at home, still, the 30 mile drive home was nice.

i have 2 sides
no you dont,
yes i do,

Spent the afternoon rubbing down with wet and dry but think im wasting my time, the filler i used has all come out when the water got to it   and in several places the cloth has come off,
So i will rub all the primer off and give it another coat of resin or two then rub it down dry
Still having to learn by my mistakes,
Going to fly her again in the morning and have a photo taken, its going into the Rc Jet International magazine :) :)

I have had four more flights with the Hunter but i do need to get the the proper landing gear fitted as soon as i can. the wire legs are not strong enough, they bend aad the spring back looks naff
Been doing a F3A Spoton in fact i have done two one for a freind and my own so will maiden mine this weekend, as a result not much progress on the Hunter
Done the magazine cases and the bit between the elevators with the foam that Pol gave at last years nationals and glassed them
Still cannot make my mind up on the paint scheme

Is there a reason for the crossed linkage on the nose wheel steering servo?

At a guess I would say it could be due to it being coupled to the rudder via a Y lead and so not being able to reverse one servo.

How did you know that about my looks Mr Beard, dont think you have seen one of them :) :)
Took the hunter flying again yesterday having said i would not take her out again until i got the retracts for it
Had a good flight but could not for some reason land it, remember it has no brakes with the make shift gear so had to get her down early because we have some rough ground in one patch and it was upwind of the landing site yesterday
First atempt it was still in the air as it came past me the second atempt the same the thired atempt i bounced it hard and went round again came for the fourth go and no nose wheel the hard landing had caursed damage i had not seen
made a decent landing on the mains this time but the damage was already done

I still could not get the F3A fired up the saito was dead, so came home early
Found the all three pipes from the tank had snapped of, i did not fill it as there was some fuel left in it from running the engine at home so how that had happend i dont know
So this morning i got up early was half way there 11 miles when i realised i had left the glow stick, back i went for it, at the field by 7 rigged the F3A up filled it with fuel went to switch on to do the range test the switch was on, flat battery i had caurght the switch working on the fuel tank
So came home AGAIN
Think im to old for this hobby, i have got to the stage of giving it up and doing something else or going back to my Rail Roads
