The plane has a jinks on it,
No it hasn't BB, aircraft are not jinxed! You're understandably a bit nervous of the first flight. Sit down and write yourself a checklist of what you need to do in preparation, car loading, arrival at the strip, assembly, pre-flight, flight and after flight. Then follow it religiously! it might just help to get your mind straight and concentrating in the right direction.

I nearly went to the field without my ~Fox wings, today - I'd got as far as strapping in, when I remembered. In the event I didn't fly it anyway, it was a bit too blustery! :S

The problem I have is the hunter is big, heavy, and delicate, couple that to a car that is to small and awkward to load, [badass]
A new car is out of the question, and a vans over here are of the scale price wise ,
So the answer is  make the car bigger

Got ready to fly again, when I had it at the field on Saturday a guy gave me a lift onto the trestle's as he did not want me to damage it, only as we were laying it upside down he put it the canopy latch and pushed it inside the fuselage
Had to saw a former away to get at it, only problem was there were three servo cables behind it, I knew they were there but not quite where, anyway I only cut 7 out of 9 wires in half
the problem was there was only 15mm at one end to work with when I soldered them back together :S

Quarter of an hour later Demetri had arrived
All set up and ready to go
Having a calming minute or five
She flew on the second attempt to take off, the first attempt it would not lift off
Gave it some flap on the second attempt and it lifted just as the real one would, no clicks of trim and it was flying on half throttle, looked good
BUT it was rocking , never had this before , landing was spot on, very pleased with it
On inspection I found that the pro- skin covering on one aileron trailing edge had parted and there was a small movement
on one hinge on the same aileron, all done and ready for tomorrow morning

Came in to land but came in fast no prob I thought, touched down and stuck on the ground
Applied the brakes
No brakes !!!!
going to fast to turn and not enough sand left to lift off again :woohoo: into the sand dune it went
Snapped the steel pin in the main leg, so end of flying today, no other damage
Who had not topped up the brakes with air :S
Anyways I came home just got into the village and one of the wings fell out the back of the car
EXCCEPT the next car along ran over it as I was walking back to it, now this is a nice big shiny silver bag and it was in the middle of the lane, they moved across on purpose to hit it I think
Damage is substantial but thanks to the pro- skin is repairable, the pro-skin is not even cracked, they had gone over the servo as the metal arm is bent double
Repairs under way
And the good news is Remember the nasty man who lived in the flat above us who was going to smash up all my models and hit me so hard he would knock me back to England
The lovely man died last night
