Oh dear, hope you get somewhere with it, but, if it does not work, remove the bottom sheeting, bend it back, and sheet again, would that help? we also tried tissue with glass, it was not nice, wish i could have saved you the effort, must look in more, and will you guys get some bags, and put some sand in, or old magazines for weighting your sheeting down :) this method follows the wing profile, and ensures even gluing, and BB, she is looking superb, dont bin it, but i do have reservations on the tail tube, looks like brass???? and dont bin the hobby either, it can get frustrating, but its good, innit

i have 2 sides
no you dont,
yes i do,

When you are scratch building in the outback like this place i have to use what i can get hold of, but i think it will be ok Alan
The hose pipe and concrete blocks did not work ( i must build them to strong ) so i stuck my fist through it and ripped the bottom planking off

I made up some square angles to brace it with and spent a long time trying to get it straight

added some temporary braces inside , but i have no sheeting to plank it :S :S

I built a bent one years ago, so I just made sure that everything lined up properly and it flew just fine. :)

I glassed one side of all the parts this morning, had a little trouble with the resin don't know if it is on a sell by date or the mixing or the 40 deg heat but found it was going of quickly
anyway i got it done using the 4 oz cloth, found it takes a lot more resin to fill than the 2 oz so more weight :( :(
Cutting all the cloth to sizes,

Cloth all fixed and drying

The clue is in the weight, BB! 2 oz - 4 oz. I think that is the 'wetted' weight per square metre. (Wetted being correctly soaked in resin, and cured).
Yes - the higher the ambient temperature, the faster the resin will 'go off!' It is a chemical reaction that creates heat as it happens, so if you add heat as well, it happens faster.
Should you happen to mix a large quantity, and not use it, you could possibly see it smoking, and the container will be hot to the touch. In industrial quantities, it has been known to spontaneously catch fire as it cures. [badass]

Gott it all glassed and rubbed down, and i put a second coat of resin on with a roller today and hung it all out to dry
Will give it a couple of days to harden then wet and dry sand it all off ready to spray primer on

Why a second coat of resin - unless you mean another coat of cloth as well.
The second layer of resin will add nothing but weight, if it is not bonded to cloth, and if there is no second layer of cloth, the resin has nothing to bond to, as the previous layer will already be filled.
The cloth is the strength, all the resin does is stick the fibres together.

I keep trying different methods of applying it and seeing as i had used 4oz cloth i gave it a second coat of resin to fill in any areas that were not filled
It will now be sanded back to the cloth so nearly all of the second coat will come off, in my mind the weight penalty will be little
I could have done it with a primer filler but here that costs an arm and leg as i found with the Lancaster, and have the resin
I will now sand it back and prime it with grey primer, ( to show up all the imperfections ) :S :S

Got a real problem now :S :S the resin will not go off its very tacky, just like the old fly paper
Cannot sand it nor wet and dry as it just cloggs up, even tried the electric sander nothing works
It was mixed to the same portions as the coat i put on the cloth

No idea what went wrong, then, Tony. The catalyst cannot die of old age overnight!
All I can suggest is you leave it alone for a few days, and see if it goes off properly in it's own good time.
