BB
Some glass cloth can actually be impregnated with an 'accelerator'. The resin dissolves it during the layup process so it goes off quicker. Your second coat would not have this advantage.
Are the dregs of the resin in your mixing pot also sticky?

I will have a look at the mixing pots in the morning, there are several of them as i had maybe five small mixings to do it all
It went to the tacky stage quickly when i did it and just seems to have stayed there

The damn thing is still tacky so this morning i thought i would try some catalist on it, thought it might make it harden off, WRONG so i had to spend a couple of hours scraping it off :( :(
Then i was told to try a heat gun to activate it again, it made it worse so i stuck it in the fridge, at the end of the day im back to square one   :evil
I thought i would make a riveting wheel for the lancaster as its ready for panel lines and rivets, made up a wheel bushed the axle equal spaced pins around the wheel ect ect, made a trough for the pva , took me ages, but would it hell as work, tried different mixes with the pva and water even tried some fairy liquid in it BUT NO RIVETS
Took some pictures of it all but they have not come out, Natalias bloody daughter has had my camera and buggerd all the setting up [badass] [badass]
Its day like this i wish i had stayed with the model rail roads
:S :S :S :S :S :S

As I understand it, you need really thick pva that stays in dots where it is applied. Thinned pva just runs away.

Try using acetone to remove it, acetone won't harm the resin that has cured. :)

Use it with a scotch-brite scouring pad and do small areas at a time. :)

After a couple of months stood in the corner the bloody thing is still tacky to touch, so i went and got a bottle of acetone and started to have a go
What a sodding job this is going to be, the scotch brite bunged up straight away so iv been all afternoon and tonight with a razor scrapeing , acetate, scrapeing and getting in a bloody mess with the gunk thats coming off, it sticks like kaka to a blanket
The outcome is that i have done ONE WING   and it is still a bit tacky but i cannot get any more off, so tomorrow ill either put another coat of resin on the wing or a coat of primer filler and see how it comes out

If you are going to spray something onto it, could I suggest doing a patch on the underside just to check. If it reacts or does not dry properly, you may end up with more of a mess and scrapping the wing. I wonder if you could try a test piece of cloth on the underside as well or somewhere out of site to see if will cure properly on the surface you currently have?
