as my son was not finishing work till 1am i thought i would utilise the time productively.
I have constructed the frame work of the rear fuselage section.
Once my ply turns up, i can construct the centre section and glue the whole lot together.
I am making the centre section mostly out of ply as it will have to take the loads from the wings and undercarriage.

i have to add the lower ply doubler and the u/c cross member yet.
The nose section and battery box then glues into the centre section like this.
And the tail end glues onto the rear of the centre section.
I will be adding stringers down both sides and along the bottom before i sheet it all with 3mm Depron.
then i can add the 6x6 mm depron stringers to the whole of the fuselage before covering with ???? not sure yet.

they are just used to get the fuselage all lined up before i sheet it.
stuck the 3mm sheet to the sides of the front section as well.
there will be some 6mm added to this to make up the sheeted nose section.
the rest of the fuselage will be sheeted with 3mm and then i will add the outer stringers to this.
we plod on.

guess what... the sealer broke all the glue joints and it all fell apart.
so i had to rebuild it all once the sealer had dried.
then we offered it up for a test fit.
Then i sat down and made the exhausts and glued them on.
i need to spray it all black before i add any more details.
we bloop on.

I would have thought balsa was the right material for push rods and rockers (the rods have to connect to something!). Balsa works for spark plugs as well.
