I can't find any pictures of the panel on line I am trying to work out what it would look like from the description in flight magazine. ( thanks Andy)
some one gave me a hint on what instruments would have been fitted during that period (thanks again Andy).
Here is my take on the panel.
now to design it in 3D and print it out.

not much to show for it, so no pictures.
added the internal sides, the seat base and the central arm rest.
designed and printed out the aileron servo trays.
Designed the elevator and rudder servo trays as well, the first one is printing as i type.
The idea is that once they have been designed i can print them off as and when i need then in future.

i could make the plate thinner and reduce the weight a bit more.
but for use in the models i build the weight is not a big issue.
the first of the large servo trays has printed, needs a tweek as the hole is 1mm out.
i can sand this one to fit ad will alter the size in the slicing tool to make the second one spot on.
then i can save the print file and never have to design or hand make one again.
Thank you

i built the battery box cover, need to make the catches next.
then i fitted the rudder servo using one of my newly printed trays.
then i drew up and printed out the plan for the fin and rudder.
i need to sand them to profile next and then make up the rudder horn.
looks a little bit better i think.
we plod on.

today i have sanded the fin and rudder to profile.
then i designed and printed out the control horn for the rudder.
it glues behind the hinge post and is then built into the large lower rudder fairing.
as the horn is hidden inside the fuselage, i will be using a single snake to control it.
i now need to draw up the plans for the tailplane and start building that later this week.
thank you for watching

Glued in the printed control horn, temp fitted some hinges and plonked it on the fuselage.
Next job was to run the snakes down the inside of the fuselage.
And then i could sheet the rest of the top of the fuselage back the where the tailplane fits.
Job for tomorrow is to add the stringers down the top.
we plod on
