Trent Meteor for 2015 start. was created by Ex-Member
Well i have decided on the next project for 2015.

just doing some drawings at the moment.

going to be the MKI Trent turbo prop test version.

Again in Depron, but this time larger.

not starting till after the shackleton and hurricane and auster are finished, so i expect march 2015 will be the start date. :P

"but this time larger"

Larger than what Tony? You'll be building a full size depron plane before we know it ;)

Blimey, what with the TSR2, the new own design, the depron free flight model and all the other builds lately, do you ever find time to sleep? [badass]

Looking forward to this one!

Andy

definitely not starting this one this year, i want to finish the shackleton and hurricane and auster builds first. or get them a lot further on than they are at the moment.

i like to have two builds on the go at once, so i can swap over when i get bored with one of them. but 6 on the go is a bit much, even for me.
so it is going to be a finish off models period first.

it won't stop me doing the drawings though. :)
hope to get this one more scale looking than my usual attempts.

right 1/4 scale is just under 10ft wingspan, so that's the plan.
electric of course.
all depron apart from the area's that will need wood or carbon for strength.
two piece fuselage with the wing center section fixed and the wings from the nacelles outwards removable.
retracts.
want to get the covering better this time and try to add some scale details (unlike the tsr2 which is just meh)
i shall be removing as much depron as poss to get the weight as low as i possibly can, be great if i could get it under 5kg once completed.

we shall have to see.

i think i might have been a bit ambitious :P :P
just drawn up a 1/4 scale nose section outline out of interest and it is HUGE.

37" long and 14" diameter at the wing root point.
:P :P :P
the fuselage won't fit in my workshop in one piece. :woohoo:

i think i might have to make it smaller.

Will depron sheet carry the rigidity a model of this size requires?
