Yes, practice n that wall, not the Lanc! Until you have learned to use it, a spray-gun can make an awful mess!

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

I have just made my day, i think not,
My hands are no good for painting anything other than house doors
So i spent around six hours masking the canopy and turrets for the Lanc, thought i had made a good job of it , painted them all
Pulled the tape off and jesus christ what a bloody mess i made of it, the paints all run beneath the tape,
They are so bad a dare not take pictures of them, the whole set is scrap now £50 !!!!
I hate painting, so one nealy built lanc for sale followed by the 1/4 scale spitfire,
Dont know why i build scale as i dont realy like it.
PISSED OFF :S :S :S
And its been raining all sodding day :( :( :(

Are you sure you can't tempt the paint of the canopies? Must be worth a go before anything gets scrapped. I'm sure there is a product which will not attack the plastic formings?

I'd buy that Lanc off you, but how the hell I'd pay for it to get the UK is beyond me.

Chin up chap !!

If you have used masking tape, then theres the reason, Use 25mm wide tape, but it on a CLEAN piece of glass, get a sharp balsa , and cut it down the middle with a straight edge, This gives you 2 clean edges to use, also, wash the perspex moldings in soap and water, rinse, and let dry, the release residue will still be on them, Dont get disheartened, once its finished, you will be ever so proud, if you want to know more about rivets, and panel lines, just holler,

Had a go at the bad painting but could do nothing with it, think ill spray it black on the inside and have tinted windows :) :)
I hinged the rudders and elevators

But for some reason i have never been able to get into this build, thats why it has taken so long, in a mind to stick it back on the top shelf and forget it for a year or so
AGAIN :(

Don't put it out of sight & forget it, but if you're not motivated with it at the moment then just shelve it where you can see it.
You'll get a brain wave & suddenly decide to attack it again.... when you're more in the mood for it. ;)

Pol.

I just own the forum .... you guys make it great thanks.
