Now that would be interesting BB. I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd be green with envy. ;)

I am going to get the Lancaster out again tomorrow and work on it in the parkinge area below the appartment, only thing is when i want something i will have to keep going upstairs to get it.
I shall be doing this one in fibre cloth and resin, harder to put on but a much better finnish than Poly C , and i have several 500ml bottles of Poly C left.
I can think of a way to use the tissue :P :P :P

I just measured everything from the formers, i built mine different to you i fix all my formers to the bench vertical and in the correct place and did not take it off until the top sheeting was on then i worked everything from the formers it came out spot on.

This show the wing with two coats of glass on it, half of it rubbed down, the shinny bit is not sanded and a prime coat of grey to show up any flaws, i will then rub down the prime coat until it is nearly completely gone then panel line it another prime coat light rub down then top coat.
dont know about rivets on here,
Im still trying to learn the art of finnishing i try different things on each one i do.

Looking good BB - looking very good. I must admit I prefer using resin rather than the stuff Tony uses - we don't have that particular brand down here but I can get something similar. I haven't had the same success with it that Tony has. So -as the say - the devil you know against the devil you don't - I'll continue to use iron on fabrics and/or resin.

On another note some of the bigger ARFs are starting to look very attractive but I'll reserve judgement till I see how much trouble, if any, you run into with this one. I'd like to have a go at a twin turbine but two in the same model would destroy my wallet. Oh - and have a dip in the pool for me - all we have down here is freezing waters and white pointer sharks!!!

I think the project went backwards today, got a trapped nerve in my back but tried to do a bit more but had to go lie down flat to relieve the pain, and we had a gust of wind, it lifted the wing i had just glassed and droped it leading edge first onto the edge of the SR carrier making a nice big V in the leading edge :( :S

Had another go at it today, got the wing repaired and did one nacil in glass cloth and resin and the other three in that awful Poly C and heavey weight tissue then im going to give it a coat of resin and ill see how that comes out,
The back is still bad hope it go's before the end of August.
They say lightning never strikes twice in the same place, the dam wind here has stuck again this time the fuselarge took off the bench an finnished up 10m away with a hole in the top and gravel rash. and i had it taped to the bench in light of yesterdays event.
At least i know it flys first the wing and then the fuselarge :) :cheer: :P

How about making two drop-in modules, one with, and one without the turret?

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!
