Started a simple paint job.

Basically all white with a purple tail end with minor "aluminium" detail and I just happen to have all these in Depron safe acrylic. ;)
It is loosely based on the Thai Airways scheme who do operate the A350 - 900.

Simon, did you show us how you did the wing tips? If you did, apologies, can you tell me where?

Do it now, you may never get another chance

Klippy
In fact I rather wish I had not made the wing tips when I did!
The one piece wing with its very delicate curly tips is a nightmare to handle particularly when going through the process of adjusting the fittings to mount the wing to the fuselage, in fact I very nearly cut them off!
Thanks: boz

With a relatively small section of 2mm Depron skin to go on under the wing but otherwise complete with the fuselage fully painted it comes in at exactly 580 g (20.4 oz)
It should still be just about 595 g (21 oz).complete with the wings painted as well
.
My initial target was 680 g (24 oz) so I am reasonably happy. The final 'acid' test will be the thrust is available using the 4s LiPo. Below a total of 400g and it will be pretty marginal. ;)

The replacement ESC arrived this morning so the underside now looks like this.

Not much different than before but it now does all work on a 4s! :P :P
All the servo leads need to be shortened but working on 32 awg wire is too much for my eyesight at this time of night. :(

The tail painted.

Taken with a flash so the purple looks rather blue.
As an experiment the narrow gold and pink strips have been done with self adhesive "Fablon". I hope it does not add too much weight.

Absolutely nothing done for 48 hours as I have a bad bout of bronchitis.
Cough almost continuously if I lie flat so sleeping is a bit of problem. :(
