Always liked the Tiger 1.
Actually quite a practical design although probably no so good for war time production.
I followed with interest the rebuild of 131 at the National Tank Museum. Way back in the late 1950s as a teenager with my Dad I had a conversation with one of the museums curators who explained that although it was captured in running condition he adamantly predicted it would quite impossible to get it to run again!

Looks very nice
Are those working torsion bars? I seem to remember on the 1/35 Tamiya version they were but being plastic meant they could not take the weight of any RC gear.

I recently built the Tamiya version of the Tiger. There is nothing at all inside, it is just an empty box, but I also used Eduard Zimmerit (simulated anti-magnetic paste in brass sheet) on the outside, very accurate pieces to apply but the ridges are too regular and shallow and it loses the effect at any distance. I later applied Zimmerit to an Italeri 'Elefant' tank destroyer using filler, it was messy, but looks OK because it is thicker and random. (Like me!)

I have added a photo of my Tiger Tank, showing the effect of the Zimmerit close-up. This is on my Lancaster thread.

no they are not working torsion bars the only part that moves is the turrent, the internal bit of kit are nice so the top bit with the turrent will come off to see the inside.

looks very neat.
now if you did it with the turret blown off, you could show all the inside off. ;)

I like that idea, too!

..................could you combine it with the Harrier coming in for a dive attack, or would that be too much? ;)
