PA-18 Super Cub for the BMFA R/C Scale Indoor Nats was created by Septic
Well I am probably being a might ambitous trying to design and build a model for this years Nats, but what the heck lets see if a. I can and b. in time......
The subject is to be my Dad's Lovely PA18 Super Cub that we spent many a happy hour flying about the UK.

Andy S has been great and has been supplying me with info about motors radio etc etc. So to that end I am using the gear from an artf indoor model. The motor/gearbox is from a Parkzone indoor P-51, the Rx and servos are from a small indoor helicopter, this also gives a speed controller. The batteries are small NanoTech 160 mAh items.
I have traced the 3 view using Turbocad and am in the process of filling in the lines with ideas

Sorry chaps was so engrossed I missed your comments!
Anyway thanks for the replies, and don't worry I aim to keep the tail as light as I can!
Thanks Andy for filling in the gaps, and for the date I hadn't seen that, I just new roughly when.
I am doing this to 30" span Martyn, the wings will be fixed and the model not able to be dismantled, I think it will only enter once and then be retired to hang on a wall in Yorkshire

Well the cadding is coming along well. It has taken several hours today just to refresh myself with the shortcut keys and snaps. Well worth knowing as they do make the drawing move along so much faster. Anyway I had originally set the wing rib upper and lower slices at 1/16 square, but I dont think my fingers will cope. So have made the rib slices 1/16 x 1/8.
The leading edge will be pre doped air mail paper. As well as the wing tank covers.
Not as elegant as Andy or Tony but I am plodding along.....

If my drawings are half as good as your "junk" I will be happy.
Right.... ribs are finalised, have dumped the idea of the half ribs as more trouble than they are worth....and barely visible on full size. Can add them later if feel I have made an error by omitting them. I have their shape.
Wing plan in basic form is done:
Might take a breather and do the tail end bits, before girding the loins for the fuselage!
