After a whole day sanding yesterday it is now all sanded down :P but the glassing is probably the worst iv ever done apart from the first one i did, dont know why, i dont like to blame the tools but i think its a combination of the new to me resin, they did not have any of what i normally use, this stuff took days to go off even when i mixed it one and one, , usual to mix two to one, i even asked in the shop the mixing quantities, two to one they said, when i got home i saw on the tin 1 kg of resin and .45 kg of catalyst ????
And the cloth would not lay down where it had been folded, i even ironed it first
And thirdly me,
ho well more work with the painting, god i hate painting i always f(&%$ it up
And now its raining as i wanted to start spraying :S

ONE trick to remove creases from the cloth ( even straighten wires/cables) is to drape over a door top and apply firm pressure in a sawing motion a few times.Usually works but if not warm it and try again. Occasionally damp it Good luck

Anything will fly given enough power

I put it on here because i cannot find the thread for it, Mr Pol sir it needs sorting out so we can find older threads please

What thread were you trying to find Tony? Can you remember exactly what it was called? The site does have a search facility although I must admit, I don't often have to use it myself.

Pol.

I just own the forum .... you guys make it great thanks.

Not sure what you mean Tony, the search facility goes back to the very start of the forum. Have you scrolled down a little to "Search Options" where it asks about posting dates etc?

Not wishing to be a smart Alec but I searched "own design jet" and it did find your blog but it also finds many others (i.e posts with the word "design" in them!) so you have to scroll down to find one of your posts. Even then it only displays the last few of them but if you click on one of them it takes you to the full blog - all 17 pages of it www.aeromodellers.co.uk/forum/model-buil...ine-jet?limitstart=0 .

Some photos I hope in no particular order as I cannot see them well on this new fangled phone
But with the filler primer on and after sanding
Have to say I'm pleased with how its coming out.
The tail section needs only a few small touches before priming proper

It's going to take all day to assemble it, when you finally take it to your field, Tony! [badass]

5 minutes is a[[ it will take Eric, 4 bolts two in each wing, it is going to travel in one piece on top
of the car
ill make something to lift it on then two of us will lift it off at the field, easy peasy ;)
Then about 15 bin bags to bring it home

I suspect you 'posted' the wrong pictures, BB. I see a patch of rough ground in one image, and one of your enormous hounds standing next to a sanded down undercoated fuselage part in the other!
