added some 1mm thick Depron imitation ribs to the fin and rudder.
hopefully once covered they will look ok?

That's very neat.
Just a point but like many designs of 'heavier' aircraft at the time aerodynamic counter balancing, particularly the elevator, was very popular to reduce the load for the pilot.
The Wellesley's looks particularly generous so don't accidentally (the hinge line?) make that counter balance area any bigger than scale or something might flex or break.

ribbing done on one side of the elevator, got the other side to do tomorrow.
ribs started on the outer wing sections.
need to cut the ali wing joiners tomorrow and then finish off the upper ribs.

Glued the wing joiners in today and made a start on the tip spars and ribs.
it's a big wing for such a small fuselage, the wing is nearly twice the size of the fuselage.
the underside of the wing will be ribbed the same but with only balsa spars.
i will have to shape the lower spar round the u/c legs in the same manner as the full size.
we plod on

upper rear spars added.
last of the upper ribs also added.
so tomorrow i hope to sheet the top of the "D" box and then i can flip it over and add the spars and ribs to the underside.
then i can get on with the fuselage and working out all the servo and wiring positions.

Well it has been a quiet few days, but i have got some little bits done.
underside spars fitted, top skin on the centre section added.
fuselage glued to the centre section.
i also designed some new formers to open up the central core of the fuselage, this will allow me to add internal cockpit and cabin details later.
day off tomorrow so that's all for now.

bit of design work going on.
