Been doing some little bits on and off today.
rear gunner/ radio operators area, still lots to do yet.

then a little bit started on the cockpit.

once i have all the interior details done i will add the final sides.

i also have to look at the central section interiors yet, but finding good pictures of internal details is very hard.

i am not happy with how the model is turning out, so i have decided to scrap it.

naa i will finish it, but not worry too much bout detail from now on.

canopy frame 3d printed out and the sections glued together.
there is a flange round the inside so that i have some where to glue the acetate sheet.

we sort of plod on.

today i have started the fun job of trying to replicate the geodesic structure in the wings.

i am using 1mm thick depron and cutting strips of various sizes to hopefully get the right look.

whether it will be visible under the tissue and silk covering is another matter, but at least I will know it is there.

still plodding.

Replicating the detail on this aircraft was never going to be easy tony.
However you are making a very good job so far, I'm sure it will look great when finished.

3D printing the cowling formers.

front and backs will be printed and then curved 6mm Depron between them sanded to shape.
i can glue the printed parts to the cylinder heads for a nice solid fit.

one half of the split flap and one aileron done, other side tomorrow.
i hope, soon be ready for covering.

Outer flap and aileron made for the other wing today.

Started on the cowl today as well.

3D printed front and rear formers with 6mm Depron planks between the formers.

will finish it off tomorrow and then i have to look at the retracts
