Err, both wing tips were yellow? I don't follow local, or anything else for that matter, I've spent too much of my life on Committees and the like!
Those motors sounded just glorious on idle. You have to remember he's flying at about 5,000ft + which is why the speed is so high. Obviously an old school flyer, not using any expo, I think he was just glad to get her down in one piece.!
I normally hate music mixed in, however being English to the bone I loved every minute of the sound track.
Going back a few years I loved Tony's Lancaster build, I so wanted that plane.

Re my comment a week or so ago about the site acting up - it looks like it was Virgin Media's fault, not the site.
Got an email today apologising for any hassle, it's because they have been changing the system over to less copper more fibre, and accidentally introduced a bug as well when they updated the opsys.

I suppose it depends on what they find when they dissassemble it all - health of the main spar, etc.

There is a local entity called Sandstone, it's a living museum and mostly dedicated to Steam. Our alcoholic friend is a Docent in the stationary engine area (he has a rather fine Stirling engine). Sandstone is also where people can show off their magnificent obsessions, this is one such.
