So if I have some rake does this not affect how much dihedral I need?
Thats why I mentioned it.

I am not sure of the problem with top hinged ailerons on a tapered wing.
My Airbus A350 has a highly tapered (& swept) wing
This gives an idea of its big difference between root and tip.
Nevertheless its ailerons are top tape hinged.
Of course the aileron has to be tapered to match the wing.
Am I missing something?
Wing sweep can increase roll stability which is why some transport jets with high wings and big fuselages have a some negative dihedral to limit the stability and also to improve the handling characteristics.

I notice on the latest Easy Jet 737s make use of the tip by painting "EASY JET" in big letter on the inside of the vertical surface just to remind any passenger looking out of the window who is flying them.
Don't worry about being a nerd I have been a "fact nerd" for a very long time!

I'm going to hand-cut the ribs.
I'm still mulling over getting a laser cutter.

It uses small spacers to set the height above the material. There's a review on Youtube where he does a matrix of power/speed tests.
At 300mm distance vibration from walking across the floor might upset it.

I tweeked the design & on Cura it came out as 3g, on my scales it weighs 2.65g.
I could reduce the length from 20mm to 15mm, on Cura this gives a saving of 1g.
The balsa servo holder for my Buzzard weighs 2.7g.
The 4.3g servo weighs 5g.
The weight of my uncovered tail is 37g.
I've got a nice long nose to hold the battery which should balance it out a bit.
