The nose is pretty well mashed up.
Of more concern is the RH wing panel has pulled out from the front of the nacelle, taking some of it with it, and creating a 'compression' failure on the trailing edge. A bit more obvious once the tissue has been cut away
I suspect this will largely be a "glue and push back in place" type of repair rather than "build much new".
The nose is a different matter as there is really nothing left to work with! It will be simpler to just cut back to sound and build a complete new nose section.
Oh! well. C'est la vie.

Everything was still working fine when I got to it, even checked both fans ran up to full power. My initial thought (whilst it was crashing!) was the RH EDF might have failed but it appears not.
It is a DSM2 rx so it is possible it lost the signal but this has never been a problem in the past.
It was fairly turbulent, with local gusts, and it was on the climb out, flying relatively slowly. It is certainly not the most powerful of EDFs so it is possible it was simply the result of a gust induced stall.

The proposed 'no registration' limit is 250 g - that's 8.8 oz!
The Canberra complete with battery is just below that, or it was before the repairs!

The reason the Canberra crashed the way it did was the ailerons were reversed!
I have no idea how it happened as nothing has been touched on the tx as far as I am aware. Can the Tx 'chip' loose its memory?
I should of course have spotted it but I was more concerned that the stab was working in the correct sense as with that particular Orange rx even with the 'pots' set to maximum the surface movement it creates is small.
Anyway it does fly but with two, albeit tiny, EDFs does rather 'cane' the 850 mAh 2s battery. 3 minutes max, even with some throttle management, is all you get.

Two things to say about that. One. I am really pleased you got it sorted. Two. Admitting it makes newbies like me feel a whole lot better about some of the mistakes we make. I take my hat off to you sir !
