Getting the DLE 55 from the last Bucker repaired for this one, but I think a 60cc Saito 3 cylinder petrol four stroke would be very good in it instead :)
And the DLE could go in the Revolver when I get it back here at the end of August, I will be in the UK for the whole of August dog sitting for my son while they are on holiday, do you have any fly ins that month Garry

Got a bit of time on it today between other jobs so started on the top centre panel, cut the ply ribs and trailing edge

And got some of it glued together

I sent Slec a email telling them that I thought when I first read the delivery charges I had to look at the calendar as I thought we were in May and not April the first
No reply was the answer
I think this will be the end of my scratch building as it has become a none viable option, maybe I built the hanger to soon :(

Hi Tony, I've been having great success with the Chinese suppliers, good prices and usually free postage. Can I suggest you look there?

Hi Klipy hope you had a good holiday.
Have you seen any balsa and ply advertised in china ?? I have always had good service from them until my last order for some diamond cutting discs for the dremel, they never turned up and the outfit that had my money don't respond to my emails
good job it was only a small amount, mind it was on ebay so I should contact them I suppose

Ah well, talk is cheap! You can buy ply, 40 cubes at a time! These people do a lot of balsa products www.sinokiko.com in nice widths and lengths, no prices though.

Done a little more, with the order from slec I had a wing tube in it so with that order cancelled I went through my crashed box and found some fibre glass tube took it to the local DIY store and found some ally tube exact size
The wing on the plan are held only by the rigging, but I thought it must be a struggle to put it together without something to hold one set of wings on, so installed the tube in the top wing

Outstanding work. Gonna be a beauty.
Just curious why you didn't install an outer spar tube in the outer wings? Seems it would make it a bit easier to slide the wing on. The latest idea I've heard for holding wings together is using magnets. Since there is very little pressure to separate the wings, especially with the flying wires attached, magnets would be all that's needed. ;-)

The sky is not the limit... the ground is!
