If its getting that hot you must have added too much hardener.
The hardener quantity (its usually less than you think) and the mixing is a fine line between going hard too quickly or not going hard in a reasonable time.

West resins - they are pre-measured! One pump of resin, one pump of catalyst!
How do I know, as I've never used that brand - I watch a boat restoration programme called Ship Happens, where they are rebuildng an WW2 wooden gun-boat, now called Sarinda, and replacing all the rotten wood frames. They've completed almost all the hull, now, and are working on how best to replace the transom, while the ship is still afloat at high tides, n the Dee estuary.
I've also found out for myself that the catalyst is fairly short life. I use the polyester stuff intended for car repairs, as the shop that sells it is nearby. The resin is good for years, even after the tin is opened, but the catalyst 'goes off' after a while, and the resin mix no longer works, just makes a sticky mess.

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

I have their pumps Eric you can see them on the tins, only they also have a shelf life, the one on the hardener is ok the other one packed up a while ago and i have not had them long and they are £14 each i complained to East Coast the dealer and they said hard cheese its your fault, its the resin thats gone off i think
Any way i sanded it down best i could today and its in the box

We are all locked and loaded

The cardboard box weights in at 18-14 Kg
The wooden one weighs in at 17- 40 Kg
Ill take the screw driver tape and stapler to the airport just in case they want to look inside, then if they dont or when they are finished ill tape it and staple it all back up, then ill know if somebody been at it
Roll on Wednesday

Why im allowed 22kg bags x 2 so 44 kg, so they will owe me for the 8 kg im not taking
I did check with Qatar airways about the limits and was told in writing 1580mm long and 22 kg
The one with the Bucker in it is just 1570 long, just able to squeeze it in by cutting the tail feathers and fin off, and the new glider build also just made it

The glider traveled here in good shape and I’ve spent 3 days covering the wings, tail and rudder
so now I’m looking at the fuselage and the fibreglass in one area is still tacky, tried wiping it off and scraping it off but that did not work
so I had to go deeper and remove the planking
it iis now being replanked

I replanked the bottom of the fuselage, then grassed it all
now in the process of sanding it down ready for another coat of resin

I blame this phone and the silly little letters you have to tap and my fingers don’t help
The fuselage glassing is all sanded down and awaiting a coat of filler

Next to it is a new fuselage pod for my glider as it don’t have another crash in it
we. tried to fly it this morning but the ESC is caput
So a new one has been fitted and it’s ready to go again

Been sorting out the tail plane servos and snakes
One of the snakes inner line parted half way down the fuselage,  i though it had come off the elevator horn but when I cut a hatchway in the fin it was still connected
iv overcome the problem and started fitting the servos also added the rudder

Just looking at this and marking where to it the nose off then I’ll fit the motor and ESC from my crashing glider as it is so over powered and fit a smaller motor in the crasher

This is now ready for it’s maiden flight, i put the motor and ESC out of the crashing glider in it as it was way to powerful for the glider
so hopefully on Saturday when we get back we will fly it and the bucker
i Had forgotten just how much power the DLE 55 had until we ran it yesterday i just want to see it fly before I go back
