The smallest jet at the Bruntingthorpe JMA event but certainly not the smallest on performance. Couldn't believe this thing is powered by just a P20. Scoots along and does all the aerobatics that you would want out of a sport jet. [video]

The event was actually a long long way from the Tri-stars so no risk. I was informed that those aircraft are not actually air-worthy. They served a long life and are just being used for storage apparently.

Another highlight from the recent Bruntingthorpe Jet Modellers Association event. Not just superb true scale flying but a truly spectacular landing. High alpha to bleed off the speed and touched down on the mains followed by the nose wheel. [video]

Luke, owner and pilot, seemed to be in particularly aggressive mood at the weekend. He was flying skin out of his Lightning to the delight of all watching. Basically it's how it should be flown anyway. :cheer: Just to add that...liking how the higher resolution picks up the heat haze created out...

I've just taken another look at Dominic, s video. regarding the undercarriage, take a look at the slow motion at the end it really does look like the front leg is not far from folding under, in fact I think the pitot has stopped there rether than taxi back. With a slightly heavier landing there...

With my move to 4K thought I would cut together the best HD jet videos into some short, sharp, high octane, compressed action compilations. All good stuff and sure to keep you on the edge of your seat. None of the boring far out flying stuff. It's all up close and in your face....[video]

Interesting fact I wasn't aware of is that there is no physical connection (i.e. no shaft) from the engine to the prop. The efflux from the turbine exhaust spins an impeller connected to the prop. Very efficient apparently and results in up to 50lbs of thrust just from a 60 size engine. Also sounds...

I was a bit dubious about the need to add thrust vectoring to a sport jet. They are meant for aerobatic pattern flight...BUT Sonny does put it to good use with this Avanti. He performs some wild tricks with it. [video]

It's official. Mobius has had it's day. 1080P at 30FPS was never that great for fast onboard action. The Runcam2 gets to 1080P at 60FPS and 720P at 120FPS. You also get 1440P at 30FPS. Low latency for FPV and wireless config, preview and playback make this a winner for just a smidge over £70. I'll...
