I would like to do this Stephen, but as it is Tony s thread, even though I am admin, I need his permission . How about it Tony ?

Ok, Tony has given his permission so here goes

I have explained a lot on the servo reversing thread, so it would only be duplicating if put on here.

I have started getting to grips with the Lanc at last, and things are going well

All 4 motors are installed, and have been tested , and yes i am using contra rotating props

Am awaiting a friend who is modifying the spinners then that job will be sorted. I am using opto ESC s and will use a separate battery and heavy duty switch to power the RX which will be a 9 channel coupled to a DX 9

AUW including lipos is 22 Ib and motors have been checked at 750 w on my watt meter so should in theory be 3000w

The Lanc will be maidened at Swinderby, and all will be welcome. Just PM that you intend to come as we have 2 access routes to the airfield, and if the second one is used then there will be a £5 charge which I will fund. Hence I need to know who will b attending

to be continued

Be great to see that being maidened, but a bit too far away for a day trip. I really enjoy flying my i.c. twins, something about the sound and the extra challenge of the potential engine out situation. With you Lanc being electric, it should be a pussycat to fly with all that wing area. Make sure someone has the video going !!

Cheers,
Simon

yes, but I come with my own fire breathing dragon- so any St Georges out there, stand down :P

Count me in, with my trusty camera would really really like to see the maiden of this after watching Tony build it. I will video it Simon :) If I can remember how to work the video

Garry, you seriously want it landing in a tree letting me fly it :woohoo: ? Bring your buddy box muhahahaha eeak!

The Ripmax Lancaster I mentioned never flew.At the field readying it for take off they couldnt get all four engines to run at the same time.Unfortunately the builder of the model passed away before it took to the air. Amazingly he wasnt capable of flying it himself,

That really saddens me Stephen. Maybe he was another Tony , like our Tony who likes building more than flying ??
