checked on the plan and the formers 2 to 7 are the same width, so i can build that part of the fuselage on its side.
it will make it easier to build it square.
then i can lift it off and build it upright in a jig.

lets see shall we.
today i pulled the fuse off of the plan and proceeded to fit some of the lower sheeting.
then i whetted and curved 2 sheets of 2.4 for the top half of the fuselage and glued them on.
then i pulled in the front and fitted F1.
thats it. :(

tomorrow i can do the other side and then carry on sheeting.

got the curved sheeting glued and drying on the other side of the fuselage.
got to wait now till it dries enough for me to handle.
then i can plank the tail area and fit the tailplane.
might happen today, but i doubt it.

not happening today. :(

more sheeting going on. don't like this method, puts a lot of strain on the stringers and formers.

still it all still looks to be straight.

back to planking the curved bits tomorrow.

Still plodding on with the fuselage sheeting.

doing it this way, because i feel that curving sheets of 2.4mm even when wet, would tend to twist the fuselage out of shape round the curved ends.
so planking it is. slower maybe, but it will keep the thing straight and twist free.

traced the main wing ribs, ready to bee transferred to the balsa for cutting tomorrow.

so i still need to plank the rear down to the tailplane mount, then fit the tailplane and finish planking round it to tie it all in, do the underside, the bomb bay doors and then sand smooth.

so i hope monday to start the wings. :)

As Granny weatherwax would say....it is all headology ;) If Tony is occupying the stove with the lanc then it stands to reason that Mrs Bloop won't be able to get near the stove therefore Tony will either offer to cook the dinner or cook it anyway so as to not get told to move it or reveal the extent to which he has taken over the kitchen, a sort of " no dear, you stay in the lounge and I will cook the dinner tonight"
a clever ploy, win win situation, both parties thinking they have won............all headology......

I wish I was a glow worm, a glow worm's never glum.
Cos how can you be grumpy when the sun shines out your bum?!
Thanks: Garry Pollard, Eric
