There's a horse running in the Grand National today called "Surface to Air" ....it's a 150 - 1 outsider but with a name like that I've had to put a couple of quid on it.

Unusually the wind has been getting up a bit lately, we usually get wind in August and early September, (blows 40 to 60kph from sun up to sun down). Anyway, wind was forcast and I have a tree that has died and is in danger of falling into the pool, taking the Lapa with it. So this morning I decide I'll deal with the tree (can't trust the guys to do it) and then Maiden the Funcub before the wind gets up. Go to tree, put Chain saw out of the way, put ladder against tree, climb up tree and tie security rope as high as possible. While I'm doing this Mary decides to bring the truck around to help me (I'm going to tie the rope to the tow bar) To save herself doing an awkward 3 point turn she decides to take a sweeping turn into position. She ran over my frigging chainsaw! By the time I'd put a new cutter bar and chain on and done the job, guess what? Yup, wind was up!

I thought it was just me that was accident prone. :silly:

I keep meaning to look up your place on Google earth.....I'm sure I'll spot some good slope sites...you've got the wind...find a slope.

Of course, what really took the time was handing out the tissues!
25deg 54min 59.83sec S 28deg 29min 38.11sec E the road running NW SE is roughly the prevailing wind direction.
