Oh blast beardie, wondered where the flaps were on this thing- no coffee cup holder either  :P

It's a beautiful plane Simon!!!!! :) :) :) am in awe of how quick you built that and how fantastic the others fly (when not doing a spiral into the ground courtesy of moi  )

Where you gonna put the beacons for the Handels water music fanfare when it goes down over the trees though?

Only the TX no servos or receivers yet, that will look into over the next couple of days- let me just get this project out the way am feeling the slight downward spiral of depression starting to kick in and have a mental block along with spurts of wanting to crawl into bed and not get out :( that and the fact I seem to be a flamin witch now lol! However, the TX looks super coolio and shiney!!!! ;)

Erm....help?

I wish I was a glow worm, a glow worm's never glum.
Cos how can you be grumpy when the sun shines out your bum?!

2 rules come to mind here.
1. Dont hang your purse on it, you will lose you money
2 Dont look for a coffee cup holder, you will spill the coffee

Just use it for flying, but in the mean time, you could hang it round your waist as a big belt buckle :) :) :)

Glad your Tx arrived safely Sarah :) Might I suggest you purchase one of these for it www.rcpitstop.co.uk/venom-spektrum-dx5-d...g-ven2028-1458-p.asp I have one for my DX8, and it's lightweight but offers a lot of protection, especially for the fragile antenna and switches.

I second that Sarah, the aerial breaks easily but usually in transport. Its recommended you don t carry it in your handbag.Leave it in the plastic bag though because it reacts to the touch of fingers a bit likes headlamp and garden light bulbs.

well I stood at the window holding me brand new and shiny TX (which I have renamed TriXie - do you get it, do ya do ya?) and i pressed all the buttons and STILL the bloody magpie pecking at me lawn didnt budge, lift or steer to the left!!!!!! Am sending it back, its broke- besides the aerial thing is bent in the middle ............ (awaits someone falling for that one!)

You guys have cheered me up and boy do I need it at the moment. Due to certain recent events (am sure most of you know what and who I am referring to, being as am female and cant not voice a problem lol) I have completely lost my confidence. Yesterday and today I have had a rather bossy and controlling (though nice underneath) young lass at uni telling me what she "wants me" to write for our group presentation by this Friday- it is supposed to be delegated so supposed to be my OWN work and not hers, but she has already done most of it for the 5 of us. So I put me foot down adn said tough, I have already done my bit.......erm......... ahh.........

So I come to sit down and do it and minds a blank, complete writers block, no confidence in abilities, cant stand myself, hate everything, had enough, going to bed someone please shut the door on the way out...etc etc feeling sorry for self. Ok I appear to be joking there and I am to some extent but in all seriousness, yes I suffer from depression and have done badly in the past, right now am low on self esteem due to a person hurting me and was about to say thats it- I quit uni for good. Then up pops emails of posts from here, and I cant help chuckle amidst the tears, I cant help be grateful for you guys support and help, information, building planes, helping me out.

Though I still maintain we are a bunch of plane geeks and you will never catch me growing a long beard and wearing sandals with socks- ha!! oh, ermmm scrap that first bit- too late!

I think in your photo your hand is covering your beard.Flying model aircraft takes your mind away from everything else because you must concentrate 110%.Can never understand people at the field who walk up and start a conversation whilst your busily flying. Especially as you are approaching to land.Just received a text from my girl friend, which stated I could talk to her for 15 minutes if I wished.Phoned back and she was engaged, typical.Im bidding on the model in Sheffield, its part finished, and its getting close to my limit, which Im not to sure I know what it is at the moment.

Just to show that I am repairing the big plane.
One of two major wing repair areas.

One of many small holes requiring an 'insert'.

With the current weather  there is little point in rushing!

Take comfort in the fact that appalling weather at least means you are not missing anything!

Its a DX6i Beard, it has 4 aa dry batteries and NO charger. The AA batteries last for weeks even when you use the TX
