Because Owen it was a choice between the two I had already started a couple of years ago, and I only build the aircraft that I like
Might just work on both of them as the Spit build doesn't excite me anymore :(

Anything will fly given enough power

You and slippery sound like a disaster waiting to happen looking at your past record :(

I'm so clever that sometimes I don't understand a single word of what I'm saying.

Ditto, firewood, try wearing rubber gloves when handling it, hard to get on, but will aid with secure handling, boz, looks great.

Finished polishing the plug

And made up a movable bench to glass the mould on

As it will be very toxic smell and needs to be done outside
This is where the fun and games start

Been a funny old day today, I seem to have struggled with every ting I have done, starting with the gardening, we wont go in to that
Then this model, took a long time to set up the fence around it, but it is done now and ready to spray with mould release tomorrow when I come back from flying :)

I was going flying on Saturday morning and picking up the resin for the fuselage mould, but it rained and I found out all shops were closed anyway, public holiday
So im getting it in the morning, so should see some progress on It this week,
Did a little sanding on the tail plane tonight but that's all
Going to be an interesting week doing this fibre glassing, never done anything this big before
Fingers crossed

Well I bit the bullet this morning and did the mould, did I struggle ! yes I did, did I get in a mess ! you bet your life, I had resin from ear hole to the soles of my shoes, did I curse it ! bet your life, but I got it done in the end :)
All the cloth pre cut and numbered in sequence, the numbering soon went to hell as I got more and more stuck up with resin

Then I gave it coat of yellow gel, 25 euros a tin, when I opened it it was only half full

Now I normally let the gel go off some before I press on with the resin and cloth, but I did not know if this was the correct method so I went straight ahead with the resin and cloth this time, I always experiment with different methods, that's how I learn, well it was a mistake, so i don't know how it will turn out, I have my gut feeling I cocked it up, but will have to wait until I have done the other half before releasing it
Done
