Seem to have been working on for a long time today and got nothing done :(
Sorted the out of square wings and faired the root ribs onto the fuselage and glassed them

Done some gardening and tried to sleep with no success :(

Hi BB

Ever since I read the earlier posts where you were developing the shape of the fuse, I thought it looked a bit "Voodooish" at the rear end.
It certainly is a cracking Superb looking model.

I wish I had some of your building skills .

I have yet to do my first large glassing job- I'll have to try and pick up an old fuse to practice on.

Well done, hope you get more sleep.

Cheers
Geoff

After spending quite some time on the wing roots, I glassed them last befor epacking in
This morning they were still tacky ?
Looked on the bench where I do the mixing and there was the measure of catalyst still in the measure
I had glassed it with resin only  I can only blame the lack of sleep,
That's my excuse and im sticking to it :)
Glassed the remaining parts today
The canopy fr the revolver came out ok

Trimmed it up

And epoxied it in place

ill trim I later

Had the new nose glassed

Today I have been filling and sanding it and the wing root on the fuselage

Stopped up the whole of the fuselage once more and gave it a good going over with 1000 wet & dry, ill give it a good clean up tomorrow and its ready for final painting :cheer:
Got one of the elevator servos mounted

The rest of the bits and bobs glassed and primed

The primer found a hole in the glassing

:S

Being unable to sleep again ( it is now 2 in the morning ) I went into the hanger o do something and I stood admiring the fuselage, very pleased at how it had turned out, with having smashed the nose off
I touched the very smooth shiny surface and it fell of the stand, it was so slippery and the slope under the nose, it was on the stand a good 200mm and it just slid straight off BANG onto the floor
with more damage than the first time, again the nose has gone, even more and there are two cracks one at the front and one where it tapers just behind the engine
I really really am not in a good mood

I have had a very bad day, I should have stayed in bed, only I never went to bed in the first place :( just cannot sleep,
Anyway I have started on the third new nose  got it shaped and a coat of glass on it

Still rubbing the wings down and another priming coat on

I don't think I will ever make the wing tips out of foam again, giving lots of problems, should have stay with my original plan and made them of fibreglass
working on the air intakes

This morning my strimmer would not start after I switched it of, been trying all day to get it going, its only a year old and I have a lot of work for it before I come to the UK next month, I cannot see a spark on the plug so I think it could be the magneto, though im not mechanical minded
Then my little hand held sander died this afternoon, armature knackered, same as my hoover

So after last nights disaster a bad day
Wonder what tonight will bring :woohoo:

I am now back on my day job turning the jungle into a garden :(

The cheapo nose wheel turned up this morning good value for less than a tenner

started to make it fit the nose leg

The new nose is done

So I thought I may as well go over it all and fill any marks and rub it all down

Found some two part black paint so that will be sprayed on tomorrow gardening permitting
