A nice sized Bristol Beaufighter

Cannot believe iv done it again   well yes i can with my brain, put the second coat of resin on the tail plane and flaps at 3 am the other morning as then its cool only to find it will not go hard its all sticky   she said, so i put them in the sun, no better so now its all got to be scraped off and redone, yes Eric i used scales to measure the resin 
 
The lipos and ESCs just fit nicely in the front 
 
So now im sheeting/ planking the fuselage
 
 

Got all the planking done and some filler in places, its now ready to fibre glass when the weather cools down
 
 
 

Iv used the whole of this new bottle of glue on this model alone
 
must get lighter as it dries out
Started on the nose it will be detachable for access to the batteries and ESCs
 
 
 
 
I got all the goo off the tail and flaps, given them a sanding and then a misting of red paint to show me when im sanding that im down to the cloth
   

The RC-Mall in China has refunded me £40 for the ESC that smoked, they seem to be a very good firm to deal with, they are quick with the orders and the 2 issues i have had with products have been dealt with fairly and quickly

Started on the fairing between the fuselage and the wing, i always find them awkward to do, ill do it the same as i did the Buckers years ago

I have to say Saric hobbies was quite generous with the balsa in their short kit
 
All this to spare, unless iv missed something, i can easily build another model from that
 

Mind you Eric i paid enough for the short kit £550 for everything 

working on the second side now this first side is nearly ready to glass
 
the landing gear doors plug and the nose cone plug are getting the first of 12 coats of polish
 
And the dammed weather has gone back to normal

Been having one of those days where things dont go to plan, been cutting the bushes that form part of the fence with next door and they are high, well high for me now days, so iv been standing on the very top step of the steps we have and i still cannot quite reach to the other side, i could last year but my balance seems to have gone to pot, in fact i had a dizzy spell while up there that nearly ended in disaster, and the lazy one has sat and watch me 
Anyway he took me to the auto paint shop and i got some primer/filler and a gallon of thinners
 
Then i realised there should be some more to add th the landing gear doors,
 
 
then i started the ( i think they must be air inlets for something on the wings
 
 
Now to have a lay down as my neck and shoulder are killing me   

I got the refund from RC-Mall in China and Leeds model shop want to refund me for the W meter 

Not much to show today i sanded down and filled the 2 air intakes and manage to put my elbow through the top of the wing 
And i started anew on the retracts hoping to make a better job of it this time with all new materials
 

Thought i would have a go at glassing the underside of a wing 
 
 
It looks to have come out ok, time will tell
Then i did a bit on the retracts
 
And finally  i prepped the nose cone for making the mould 
 
 
Then i cooked my tea and called it a day
